Lip cosmetic tattoo before and after result by Katy Sullivan

Lip Tattoo

Restore soft colour and definition to the lips, improve the appearance of the natural border and enjoy a more polished look without daily lip liner.

How this treatment can help

A considered result, personally designed for you

Lip tattoo can revive a faded-looking border, add a soft wash of colour and improve the appearance of small colour or symmetry differences. The goal is definition and balance; tattooing does not physically add volume.

Katy selects and blends pigment around your natural lip tone, colouring and intended healed result. The lips can swell and look much brighter immediately after treatment before the colour softens significantly through healing.

What the treatment process looks like

01

Create your design

Katy listens to the result you want, considers your natural features, colouring, skin and any existing pigment, then maps the shape and style for you to approve.

02

Receive your treatment

The approved design is created with professional cosmetic pigment, sterile single-use components and careful technique while your comfort and skin response are monitored.

03

Heal and enjoy the softer result

Fresh colour appears stronger before softening. Follow your personal aftercare and allow full healing before the result and any perfection work are reviewed.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered clearly

These answers explain the general experience. Your consultation is where we confirm what is appropriate for your skin, health and goals.

What is lip blush tattoo?

Lip blush is cosmetic tattooing designed to add a soft wash of colour and improve the appearance of the natural border and balance. It does not create the volume of a filler treatment.

Will my lips swell?

Temporary swelling is common and fresh colour can look much brighter or darker before healing. The shade softens considerably as the surface recovers.

Why do you ask about cold sores?

Lip tattooing can trigger herpes simplex reactivation in people with a history of cold sores. You may need to discuss antiviral medication with an appropriate health professional before treatment.

Can lip tattoo correct asymmetry?

It can improve the appearance of small colour and border differences, but tattooing must stay within safe natural tissue and cannot correct every structural asymmetry.

How long does lip tattoo last?

Pigment fades over time. Natural lip tone, colour choice, skin, sun, smoking, health, skincare and individual healing affect how long the result remains visible.
