Unwanted hair

Laser Hair Reduction

Enjoy smoother skin, less frequent shaving and a long-term reduction in suitable unwanted hair with a laser plan created for your skin tone, hair and treatment area.

How this treatment can help

Spend less time managing unwanted hair

Laser hair reduction can make everyday grooming easier by progressively reducing the number and thickness of suitable hairs. Many clients also value smoother-feeling skin and fewer shaving-related bumps or ingrown hairs in areas prone to irritation.

The laser sends carefully selected light into pigmented hair. The hair absorbs that energy and converts it to heat inside the follicle, disrupting its ability to keep producing the same growth while the surrounding skin is protected.

Because hair grows in different cycles, a course is needed to reach new active hairs over time. Our qualified laser team selects the technology and settings for your skin tone, hair thickness and area, then adjusts the plan as growth reduces. White, grey, very blonde and some red hairs may be better suited to electrolysis.

Your treatment experience

What the treatment process looks like

01

Before

Avoid waxing, plucking and electrolysis for the interval advised. Shave as directed, avoid tanning and fake tan, and disclose medicines, skin products and recent sun exposure.

02

During

Protective eyewear is worn. Test settings and treatment parameters are selected for skin tone, hair calibre and area, then pulses are delivered in an organised pattern.

03

After

Follicular redness and warmth can occur. Use cool compresses if advised, avoid heat and friction, protect the area from sun and follow the clinic’s product guidance.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered clearly

These answers explain the general experience. Your consultation is where we confirm what is appropriate for your skin, health and goals.

Is laser hair removal permanent?

The appropriate term is long-term or permanent hair reduction. A successful course can substantially reduce suitable hairs, but maintenance may be needed and no clinic can guarantee removal of every hair.

How many sessions will I need?

A course is normally required because hair grows in cycles. Area, hair colour and thickness, hormones, medicines and treatment interval all affect the number of visits and maintenance needs.

Which hair colours respond?

Laser relies on melanin, so dark pigmented hair usually responds best. White, grey, very blonde and some red hair may not respond effectively and can be assessed for electrolysis.

Can all skin tones be treated?

Many skin tones can be treated with correctly selected technology and settings, but risk and parameters differ. A tan, recent sun exposure or fake tan can make treatment unsafe or require postponement.

Should I shave before the appointment?

Usually yes, at the timing advised by the clinic. Do not wax, pluck or epilate beforehand because the follicle target must remain present.

Can hormonal facial hair return?

Yes. Hormonal drivers can continue to stimulate new follicles even after treated hairs reduce, so maintenance or medical investigation may be appropriate.

Personalised professional care

Experience matters when treatment is personal

Our qualified and experienced team starts with what concerns you, then selects the treatment, technique and settings around your skin or body—not a one-size-fits-all menu.

Temporary redness, follicular swelling, warmth or sensitivity are common. Burns, blistering, pigment change and scarring are uncommon but possible, particularly with unreported sun exposure or unsuitable settings.
